AAPSA Halloween Grams




Asian American Psychology Student Association of Pepperdine (AAPSA) is hosting its Halloween Gram Event!

Happy Halloween!

Send a spooky Halloween Grams to surprise your classmates and professors!
AAPSA will be taking orders to deliver Halloween Grams for your favorite Pepperdine faculty or student on Oct 30th and Oct 31st. Your Halloween Grams will be personally delivered by AAPSA members and each Halloween Gram will include a ghoulish goody and your special, personalized message!

Each Halloween gram is $3. Email cecile.bhang@pepperdine.edu or visit our booth on the 3rd floor (in front of the elevator) from 3-4 pm on Oct 30th and Oct 31st to order.

Proceeds will go towards funding future events geared towards community outreach, networking and research.

Differential Aptitude Test (DAT) training workshop

DMH psychologist will be holding a workshop to teach students and professionals how to administer the Differential Aptitude Test (DAT). The workshop will be held on 15th and 22nd of September from 5:30pm to 7pm.

Use the Differential Aptitude Tests® for Personnel and Career Assessment to identify candidates for hiring, training and career development in any organizational setting.

From corporations to nonprofits, the skills measured in these tests offer clear indications of a candidate's strengths and weaknesses. The Differential Aptitude Tests® for Personnel and Career Assessment tests applicants in key areas directly related to successful job performance.

General Cognitive Abilities - Contains Verbal Reasoning and Numerical Ability. These tests measure the ability to learn in either an occupational or training setting, and specifically the ability to learn from books and manuals, self instruction, trainers, teachers, or mentors.
Perceptual Abilities - Abstract Reasoning, Mechanical Reasoning, and Space Relations. Tests abilities that are important when dealing with things, rather than people or words.
Clerical and Language Skills - Spelling, Language Usage, and Clerical Speed and Accuracy. Tests skills necessary to perform various types.

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Workshop in August

Korean American Psychological Association (KAPA) is having Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Workshop "The Lovaas Method" coming up in August. ABA is an evidence-based therapy widely used with autistic children. The workshop spans 4 days and will be held on 8/9,16,23, and 30 from 6:30-9:30pm. There will be $10 fee for the workbook and it will be held in Los Angeles.
