Volunteer Opportunities at Center for Pacific Asian Family, Los Angeles

For everyone's information...

Center for Pacific Asian Family is offering two training opportunities for volunteers.
One is for a training workshop for volunteers to be interpreters.  The training is on a Friday (5/18) from 9am to 5pm and Saturday (5/19) from 9am to 1pm.  Once trained, participants can volunteer at their center- interpreting for their 24-hr crisis line, interpreting meetings, outreaching for them, or translating forms at home.
The other training workshop is the 65-hour Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Training.  The training is spread over four Friday-Saturday.  It is a state-wide certification.  Once trained, participants can work at any domestic violence agencies (including theirs).  It normally costs $350 but it'll only cost $25 for volunteers.

If you are interested, here are more info and a Volunteer Application.
